- Jan: 10 Years!!! Yes, fine netizens, we're approaching the tenth anniversary of cartertoons.com and to commemorate such a momentous occasion I'm getting some new features ready. The first you prolly noticed already on the home page- the store. I finally got it back up and better than ever. Well, there's not a lot up right now but please keep checking as new products will be added weekly. Secondly, I'm working on the download section which will offer fun freebies like wallpaper, icons and other cool stuff.
2009
- Sep: 20 Years!!! It's hard to believe but my first Funny Files panel was published on September 20th, 1989. Back then I was a young, unknown struggling artist and today.... well, I'm an old, unknown struggling artist- I've come a long way, baby.
- Sep: The guillotine complaints cartoon will be published in a college text book by Cengage Learning.
- Sep: Finished designing the cover for John Chuchman's new book.
- Aug: The Sore Thumbs video games comics section has just been officially catalogued on the site and is no longer just a link to Veesh.com. Please check out the four-page section which includes 12 previously unpublished comics!
- Aug: Our very own Burt Jenkins has apparently had a Wikipedia article written about him. Really cool but also kinda really weird...
- July 24: Added another new section entitled Jon Carter's words of wisdom. Yes, I am now officially in the guru business. More File 13 crap thrown in as well. Enjoy.
- July: Added a new section to the site called Mini Comix check it out.
- June: My "Kamikaze
Fish" cartoon will be featured in Toonpool.com's
underground cartoon exhibit June 23 in Germany. From the press release:
Cartoons will be broadcast and shown 40 times
per day on 4000 video screens in Berlin's subway trains, 04:00h - 24:00h
CET, with artist's name displayed well readable . Cartoons will be enjoyed
by approx. 1.5 million passengers per day.
- April: New features are up in the revamped cartoons section. Click on the cartoons link to access the new comics page.
- April: A quick update to let everybody know the latest stuff goin' on with the site. I'm working on some new features and the first will be an expansion of the comics section. Here's a screenshot to serve as a little hint of what I'm working on. I'm hoping to have things up in this department by mid-April so make sure you check back for a lot more offerings in the comics department!
- Jan: Just finished working on the forklift rodeo t-shirt design for Dot Foods.
2008
- Nov: Created cartoon postcard for Datapartners

- Sept: Finished up book cover design for John Chuchman's Spirituality and Spritual Growth Beyond Hierarchical Church.
- Aug: Created a Chistmas card design for Crown forklift.
- Aug: Currently working on some cartoons for ABB's new safety calendar. (update: finished Sept)
- Aug: Working on a set of cartoons for an upcoming self-help book. More details to come soon.
- July: Created a series of cartoon postcards for for MGI communications.
- April: Created a series of cartoon illustrations for Cheshire Publishing.
- March: Created a set of cartoons for parentingseries.com.

- Dec:I'm working on all new comics features for the cool site Veesh.com - check it out!!!!!
- Dec:My cartoons are now appearing in the monthly cartoon paper Humor Times. You can also click on the link to check them out online.
